Privacy policy
Updated November 6, 2026
Aisle, operated by Colin Shippam in Ocala, Marion County, Florida, USA, provides a workspace for managing barns, horses, care, and schedules. This policy describes the personal information handled through Aisle’s website and app. Use of Aisle is also covered by our Terms of Service.
For privacy questions or requests, contact camshippam1@gmail.com.
Information we handle
- Account information, including your name, email address, authentication information, and barn memberships.
- Information you or other barn members add, including invitations, horse profiles and photos, ownership assignments, care notes, bookings, schedules, and activity records. Notes and photos may include information about people.
- Subscription information, including Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, status, and billing events. Stripe handles payment details entered through its checkout and billing portal.
- Messages you send, including your name, email, barn name, and message when using the contact form or contacting us by email.
- Technical information used to operate and protect the service, including request information, IP addresses handled by hosting services, and error records. The contact form uses a keyed hash derived from an IP address to limit repeated submissions.
How we use information
We use this information to create and secure accounts, provide barn workspaces, manage access and invitations, display records to authorized members, process subscriptions, respond to messages, troubleshoot problems, and prevent abuse. We also use records where needed to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Who can access information
Your barn role determines which records you can see. Owners manage membership and permissions. Owners and staff can access operational horse, care, and booking records. Horse owners and clients receive their assigned views. The daily ring dashboard is visible to barn members, so information placed on that board is shared within the barn.
Aisle uses these service providers as processors: Vercel hosts the app, Supabase authenticates accounts and stores records, Stripe processes billing, and Google’s email service handles support email. Their processing may take place in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service, its users, or others. Please share only information and photos you have permission to add to a barn workspace.
Document imports
When you import a horse list, your browser reads the document. If you choose Jev matching, Aisle sends column headings and limited examples of age, sex, breed, color, and height to TypeSafe using your Jev API key. You review the proposed horses before saving them to your barn. People and contact sheets are excluded, and recognized personal identifier patterns are removed from imported values.
Your Jev key is stored in an encrypted, HTTP-only browser cookie for up to 30 days, linked to your account. You can remove it in Your account settings. TypeSafe processes matching requests under the terms of your TypeSafe account.
Cookies and browser preferences
Cookies maintain your sign-in session and selected barn. Theme, text-size, and reduced-motion preferences are stored in your browser. You can clear these through your browser settings. Clearing sign-in cookies signs you out, and blocking them can prevent account features from working.
Retention and deletion
Workspace records are kept while the barn uses Aisle. Members can leave a barn, and owners can remove records or delete the barn after its subscription and open checkout have ended. Deleting a barn removes its workspace records from the app, including horse photos and activity logs.
You can delete your account after leaving or deleting your barns. This removes your authentication account and profile. Shared barn records and historical activity may still include information previously entered about you. Contact the barn owner or email us about that information.
Support correspondence, records required for legal or dispute-resolution purposes, and copies held in provider backups may be retained beyond deletion from the active app. Stripe manages retention of its payment records under its own policy. Retention depends on the type of information and the purpose for keeping it.
Manage your accountYour choices and requests
You can ask about the information we hold about you, request a copy, or request correction or deletion by emailing the address above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and locate the records before fulfilling a request.
If a request concerns information managed by a barn, we may need to work with that barn’s owner. If you believe a child’s personal information was provided improperly, contact us so we can review it.
Protecting information
Aisle uses authenticated access, barn-specific permissions, and database access rules to limit access to records. Server credentials are restricted to server operations. Access controls and operational practices are reviewed as the service develops.
